Hershey Falls To New Jersey Copa FC

Hershey, Pa- Hershey FC would fall to second place New Jersey Copa FC on Saturday June 23rd at Hershey High School by a score of 3-0. Hershey had several opportunities to put a goal on the board, but were unable to finish. The game was relatively physical seeing six yellow cards issued throughout the contest.

Hershey best opportunity game early in the contest when a cross into the box came to the feet of one of the teams strikers, who hit the top cross bar with the ensuing shot.

Midway through the first half, New Jersey Copa FC seem to take control, and took the lead on a spectacular goal for Anthony Ferrer in the 29th minute. Hershey would continue to defend, keeping the score 1-0 heading into the half.

Hershey would start the second half strong once again pushing the attack and creating a few scoring opportunities. They couldn’t take advantage of free kick from just outside the box, with the chance sailing just over the cross bar.

Pushing the offense attack created counter attack opportunities for New Jersey Copa FC and their striker Raphael Arauje would take advantage scoring in the 73rd and 86th minute putting the game out of reach.

Hershey FC will host its final home regular season game, when they battle FC Motown at Hershey High School on Saturday June 30th. Hershey’s WPSL team will take the field at 4:30PM with the NPSL team kickoff scheduled for 6:30PM. Admission is $5.00 for Adults and $3.00 For Children (17 and Under) and the team will have a water bottle giveaway.
